This year Metro Manila Pride March has continued to attract more attendees which broke the record of last year. From 25,000 attendees at last year's event for the LGBT+community, this year's record shows around 70,000 attendees. This was more than double its number of participants in 2018.

The theme for this year's Pride March is #ResistTogether, highlights the Stonewall riots in New York in 1969. The riot which was began 50 year ago is a repeated raids on the Stonewall Inn - a gay bar in New York Greenwich Village.
The event sparked the formation of gay liberation movement in the US and expanded around the world.
The Metro Manila Pride March is the oldest pride march in Southeast Asia which began in 1994, were they provided avenues for allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate their identities and human rights.
