Doctors Remove Jewelry, Coins and Watch Whopping to 3.3 Million Pesos in Woman's Stomach

Doctors in West Bengal in India were shocked after they discovered around 1.6kg hoard of golden metal jewelries, coin and a watch to a 26-year-old woman's stomach.

The woman was admitted weeks after she suffered extreme pain and began throwing up after every meal. 

The doctors were able to recovered chains, nose rings, earrings, bangles, trinkets, coins, anklets, and a wristwatch from the woman's stomach in a procedure that took 75-minutes.


 The woman who said to be mentally unstable and swallowed over 1.5kg ornaments has estimated amount of £53k or around 3.3 million pesos, according to The Sun.

"My daughter is mentally unsound. For the past few days she used to throw up everytime after having a meal," the mother was quoted as saying The Indian Express. She added, "Whenever we questioned her about the missing ornaments, she started crying."

The head of surgery doctors, Dr. Siddhartha Biswas at the Rampurhat Government Medical College and Hospital said that the patient was very weak and emaciated when she was admitted.

Now the patient from Margram in West Bengal, India is stable and she can go home anytime soon after recovery.
