Look: PAF Delegations Visit F-16 Facilities, Experience Familiarization Flight In The U.S.

Members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) visited one of the F-16 facilities in the U.S., where they have been able to experience the familiarization flight at the 113th Wing District of Columbia Air National Guard at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland in July 2019.

The visit follows after the Bilateral Air Contingent Exchange-Philippines (BACE-P) deployment earlier this year, where the F-16 Fighting Falcons under the 113th Wing visited Philippines.

As part of the 2019-2023 Horizon 2 phase of the revised AFP Modernazation Program, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has plan for the aquisition of Multi-Role Fighter (MRF) for at least 12 units to become the premier air combat aircraft of the country.

As of the moment two Multi-Role Fighter jets are on the radar of the Philippine Airforce that most likely on the pipeline of selections, this includes the SAAB JAS-39 Gripen and the Lockheed Martin F-16 series.
