Angel Locsin reacts to Vivian Velez's post as part of ABS-CBN top stockholders list

A lot of top celebrities might lose a lot of money if ABS-CBN's franchise expires, not only a threat for the closing of their shows but stars are also among its top stockholders. Former actress Vivian Velez shared a post on her Facebook account showing the ABS-CBN Corp. list of top 100 stockholders.

The 34-year-old Angel Locsin is on the 29th placed of ABS-CBN's stockholders list as of March 31, 2019.

Other celebrities on the list are Jose Mari Chan (9th), Noli de Castro (25th), and actor Daniel Padilla (54th), Bea Alonzo (55th), Kris Aquino (64th), angelica Panganiban (77th), John Estrada (86th), and Kim Chiu (94th).

According to Investopedia, a stocks is a type of security that gives "proportionate ownership"  in the issuing corporation. It can be recalled that kapamilya star Angel Locsin  took to social media asking support to 11,000 employees affected by the franchise renewal woes.

This Friday, February 21, Angel shared on her Instagram the screenshot of the Top 100 Stockholders List of ABS-CBN posted by former actress Vivian Velez on her Facebook account.

I saw some posts and been reading accusations that were thrown at me for speaking up for what I think is right. Just to clear things up, 1) I am not part of any political party, nor representing any politician. 2) I do not have an existing contract with ABS-CBN. Therefore, the company has no control on whatever I want to post. 3) Sorry to disappoint some people, but money is not everything. Hindi ko ho alam kung anong intention ni Ms. Vivian sa kanyang post, pero kung ito po ang gagamitin to discredit my name and what I stand for, hindi nyo po kailangang gawing issue. Kapag kumita po ang aking maliit na investment sa ABS-CBN, I WILL DONATE EVERYTHING TO CHARITY. Accounted. Again, money is not everything. (For your knowledge, Maliit lang po ito. As in. It’s a privilege offer of the company to some of their employees in installment plan. Mine is payable for 5 years. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Recently, law makers said the network can still operate without a franchise even if bills seeking its renewal are still pending on Congress.
