Thai soldier open fire at Terminal 21 shopping mall in Thailand, killing at least 21

A soldier has killed at least 21 people and injured dozens in a gun rampage in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima.

Report said that identified gunman Jakraphanth Thomma on Saturday killed his commanding officer before stealing weapons from a military camp. The ongoing situation in a shopping centre, where he is still believed to be holding hostages, according to Khao Sod English.


He fired at civilians along the route to the Terminal 21 shopping mall.

Police commandos were dispatched from Bangkok to neutralize the gunman.The ongoing incident has put the entire city in a state of chaos, with authorities locking down the city.



The motives behind his killing are yet to identify, but he has been posting updates of himself gunning down innocent people over Facebook, later his Facebook account was deactivated.

The casualties include a motorcycle taxi, a cab driver, and a highschool student, according to preliminary reports.
