Cebu, Philippines - As part of the quick response for the rising cases of coronavirus patients in the country, the City of Cebu has decided to build a collapsible one-story building to be used as a quarantine and treatment facility.

The 500-square-meter city-owned lot in the North Reclamation Area (NRA), Block 27 is being prepared to complete within 10 days, the report said.

The said quarantine facility will be run by the Cebu City Medical Center that will accommodate 200 patients once set-up.

Aside from the city-owned lot which now under preparation, another identified facility as quarantine center is the CCMC seven-story building which is about to enter its phase 3 of construction. Mayor Labella assured the first three floors can be functional and could house 200 patients.

The two quarantine centers will allow faster isolation of persons under investigation (PUI) and person under monitoring (PUM).
