How to make Burger Patty made of Banana Peel




INGREDIENTS: (Makes roughly 8 patties)

  • 2 Bananas
  • Peel of 7-8 bananas (use the rest to make milkshakes or something)
  • Diced Onion
  • 4-5 egg yolks
  • 2-3 tablespoons of BBQ Sauce
  • A few spoonfuls of smoked Paprika/other meaty-beefy flavouring herbs and spices.
  • Chili
  • Chopped pepper (optional)
  • Semolina Flour (about 1/2 mug full, this is to add that meaty succulence)
  • Flour
  • Oil
  • Salt and Pepper

PROCEDURE:

  1. Boil your banana peels for around 7 minutes to soften them up nicely.

2. Finely chop your softened banana peels and add to a bowl with the bananas, mash together.

3. Add the chopped pepper, diced onion, chili, egg yolks, BBQ sauce, seasoning and semolina.  Mix together well and behold the brown-grey sludge you have in front of yourself.  Trust and believe, this will work.

4. Add a tablespoon of flour at a time and mix through until your mixture has bulked and thickened to look like this.  Don’t push it too far or you’ll end up with something more doughy than meaty.  This was maybe 3/4 – 4/4 cup.  And please, stop despairing, this will work.

        

5. These will not form into patties, they’re too wet.  Instead, spoon a large scoop into a hot pan of oil and with the spoon gently press down and make patty shaped.  These will seal up and hold together pretty quickly – flip every couple of minutes until suitably browned.

TAGALOG INSTRUCTIONS:

-tanggalin lang yung mga dulo. hindi kailangan yun!
-hugasang mabuti, isa-isa.
-pakuluan, para surebol malinis at matanggal ang dakta. para lumambot din.
-ginamitan ko ng peeler para pino. wala kasi akong food precessor , pwede -ding blender para mabilis.
-yung natitira sa ginadgad ko, ginagayat ko ng maliliit. wala akong tinapon.
-lagyan ng all purpose flour, chopped onion, chopped garlic, salt and pepper, 1 egg, garlic powder at gumamit din ako ng knorr beef cubes para lasang beef.  (you can skip adding knorr cubes kung ayaw mo. okei lang
-haluin ng mabuti lahat!
-i-mould into burger patty!
-lagyan pala ng cling wrapp, para pwedeng i-store sa freezer.
-i-prito lang kung kelan mo gusto. kahit magutom ka pa sa madaling araw.
