Kpop singer Chungha quarantines herself after staff tested positive for COVID-19

Kpop star Chungha is now under self-quarantine after two of her staff were tested positive of coronavirus following a trip to Italy. The singer has been tested negative of the virus after returning to South Korea, MNH Entertainment said in a statement.

However, one of her staff showed signs of fever upon returning to South Korea, while the other one was found to be positive of the virus upon testing.

Chungha and the rest of the staff "will go into self-isolation as requested by Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention," the statement said.



"For the sake of safety, all scheduled activities have been cancelled for the time being and we will continue to take the best possible measures and deal with (it) faithfully," it added.

Currently, South Korea has exceeded 3,700 coronavirus cases, with the largest numbers outside China. 

Meanwhile, American mass media company 88rising also confirmed that Chungha would no longer be performing at Head In The Clouds music and arts festival in Jakarta on Saturday, March 7.
