Netizen shares hilarious screenshots of Filipinos' lowest reading comprehension

Social media user Maria Rookie Sistena Salvador has took to her Facebook account and shared some hilarious comment over a posted report  from Philippine Star.

"President Duterte suspends classes in ALL LEVELS in Metro Manila from March 10-14, 2020 amid the confirmation of new COVID-19 cases. #Walangpasok," the report read.

The news was quick to spread online causing people around Metro Manila to confirm the said announcement from the president by posting their query on the comment section of the report. Despite that it was clearly announced the suspension of classes was in Metro Manila and ALL LEVELS, still there are some commented redundantly.

"Ilang katunayan na bagsak ang Pilipinas sa Reading Comprehension. Tiktok pa! Imbis na utak ang hinahasa eh," Salvador said.

Here are some of the screen screenshots from the comment section of the viral post. As of this posting the shared post earned over 113K shares and more than 43K reactions.

According to the data released last year, it shows, out of 79 participating countries and economies the Philippines scored the lowest in reading comprehension in the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
