Another additional 82 new coronavirus cases recorded on Monday, March 23, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed - bringing a total to 462 in the Philippines.
The fatalities due to the deadly virus spikes to 33 after the health agency reported 8 additional deaths. However, 18 patients have been recovered from the virus - the DOH announced.
DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire warned on Monday that the number of confirmed cases in the country will continue to rise in the coming days as the health department has extended testing laboratories nationwide and the testing kits donated from other countries have arrived.
Meanwhile around 14,396 death toll recorded around the world with the growing number of cases have reached to more than 324,000.
