The Philippines mourns today for the lost of the three doctors after they contracted the disease and 10 others are reportedly fighting for life.
In the midst of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the real heroes are now the people on the front lines especially our health worker fighting against COVID-19.
Citizens have expressed love for the doctors and nurses on the front lines of the global COVID-19 outbreak. Condolences and memories flooded on social media for Dr. Israel Bactol, Dr. Rose Pulido, and Dr. Greg Macasaet.
Dr Gregorio Macasaset II of Manila Doctors Hospital and Dr. Rose Pulido of San Juan He Dios Hospital are anesthesiologist and oncologist respectively. Sadly, at least 10 other doctors have also reported tested positive for COVID-19 which are now fighting for their life.
Meanwhile, more hospital workers are reportedly under quarantine across the country after an exposure to COVID-19 patients. UST hospital recently announced that it can only offer limited services as its 530 staff are under quarantine.
