The price of hand sanitiser and alcohol has been sent soaring online, after a confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines continue to jump-up.
One vendor was severely criticised after she attempted to sell a bottle of 500ml Green Cross 70% isopropyl alcohol to Php750, which was originally cost around Php85 in stores.
A Facebook user Remar Pableo has took to social and shared a screenshot of the convo with the online seller who confirmed that the 500ml alcohol per bottle she was selling online was Php750.
The online seller identified as Cherry Ann T. is also offering a discount for bulk orders. Buyers will only pay Php7,000 instead of Php7,500 if they will buy 10 bottles.
After the post went viral that angered many netizens, Cherry Ann posted to clarify that she wasn't an online seller, saying her profile picture was used by another person.
As of this posting, the Philippines has recorded 52 coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
