"Dr. Carmina Fuentebella is on her way to complete recovery. She is still in the hospital regaining her strength, but we are almost out of the tunnel," according to Rj Palad, Dr. Fuentebella's family member.
"The parents, siblings, relatives and friends are truly grateful to everyone who were with us in prayers and sacrifices. We are also eternally in debt to the doctors and nurses who made sure that she gets to where she is now. You are all blessings to the whole family," he added.
It can be recalled when Dr. Fuentebella's family posted her critical condition on social media and they seek for prayers after she contracted the disease. In response, sharing and offering digital prayers flooded for the young doctor.
the 26-year old Dr. Fuentebella is a resident doctor from University of Sto. Tomas hospital where she was intubated after she faced breathing problem. She is one of the many frontline workers in the country who contracted the deadly disease.
As of April 18, the Department of Health reports 209 new cases of COVID-19, raises the total number of cases in the country at 6,087 with 516 recoveries.
