The princess is among the 80 people to help at the Sophiahemmet Hospital in Stockholm as health care assistant amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Royal Central.

“In the crisis we find ourselves in, the Princess wants to get involved and make a contribution as a voluntary worker to relieve the large workload of health care professionals,” the Royal Court said in a statement.

She will not work directly to patients, but rather supporting doctors and nurses through cooking, disinfecting instruments and cleaning, said Pia Hultkrantz, spokeswoman for Sophiahemmet Hospital.

“I am now placed in one of the hospital’s care departments, where together with other newly trained colleagues, I support and relieve the healthcare staff with different tasks,” she wrote on Instagram. “To have the opportunity to help at this difficult time is extremely rewarding.” Her responsibilities include cleaning and assisting in-patient care.

Just like any hospital staff, she wore scrubs and white sneakers with ID tag - her hair tied back in a practical ponytail.

So far, Sophiahemmet has no confirmed COVID-19 cases, People reported.
