The Philippines 7-foot-2 centre Kai Sotto has decided to skip college and is expected to sign a deal in the NBA G League.
The 18-year-old Sotto is the "first international draft prospect to sign a deal in the NBA G League pro program," according to Shams Charnia of The Athletics.
He will be joining with Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix the team in Southern California who decided to take part in the league's professional path program.
Sotto shined during last year's FIBA U19 World Cup as he made 1.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3.1 blocks per game on 52% from the field.Sotto, who turns 18 today, is joining the new G League team in Southern California alongside Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix.
