Bacolaño flock to old airport as coronavirus lockdown eases

Hundreds of people took advantage of fine weather to do exercise at the Bacolod old airport since the province was placed under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Walkers, joggers, bikers and dancers flocked on Sunday morning respected the safety measures. A footage from Aksyon Radyo Bacolod has witnessed the large number of crowd with mostly wearing their masks and the promoter of the Sumba dance has keep on reminding people to practice social distancing. 

Under the MGCQ, all person are allowed to go outside their residences provided to comply with the strict imposition of minimum health standards and protocols.


The local government units (LGUs) of Bacolod and Negros Occidental reported on Thursday six new cases of coronavirus infections in Western Visayas are from Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.

 The Department of Health (DOH) reports, four of the patients are locally stranded individuals (LSI) while two are repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
