BLACKPINK's Lisa gets scammed of P41 million by former manager

The popular South Korean girl band BLACKPINK member Lisa has reportedly become a victim of fraud by her former manager. According to soompi.com, Lisa lost US$820,000 (Php41 million) which was used by her former manager for gambling activities. 



YG Entertainment confirmed through a statement, "After looking into the matter, we confirmed that Lisa was a victim of fraud by former manager ‘A’."

Lalisa Manoban whose real name had choosen to “settle this amicably, as the former manager was someone Lisa had trusted," Soompi reported.


Part of the sum has reimbursed after the two agreed on a payment plan for the rest of the money.

YG Entertainment said in a statement that the former manager had taken responsibility for the wrongdoing. Citing that Lisa had given the money to the manager for real estate opportunities, who then used it for gambling.

The company also stated it had taken precautionary measures to avoid something similar happening in the future.

BLACKPINK released their debut album in 2016 and consist of Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo. The band has recently collaborated with prominent American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga on “Sour Candy”, included on Gaga’s sixth album, Chromatica.
