The Kapamilya news anchor Bernadette Sembrano took to her Facebook page and expressed sadness over her retrenchment as a field reporter for ABS-CBN.
Sembrano, a field reporter for "Lingkod Kapamilya" shared a Facebook live on August 25 and gave update for herself with some few good news. Aside from losing her job as field reporter, Sembrano still thankful as she was awaiting for her membership for the Filipino Society of Composer, Authors, and Publishers (FILSCAP).
"Grupo siya ng mga Filipino composers and songwriters," she said. "Another big surprise, right?"
Recently, she's taking part into songwriting as lyricist for "Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin" - an official theme song of the Kapamilya teleserye starred byJodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado, Sam Milby, and Maricel Soriano.
Other good news, she remained as co-anchor for TV Patrol.
“Ang sabi ko, ‘Galing talaga ni God magbalanse ng buhay’. Well ang una kong naisip was dapat talaga sa buhay sakto lang para alam mo kung kanino pa rin nanggagaling ang totoong kaligayahan. Huwag sosobra kasi kapag sumobra, baka makalimot ka na,” she said on her Facebook live.
Last July, after Congress denied ABS-CBN franchise, the network announced that they will be laying off workers and will stop operations of some businesses.
