Several waterspouts spotted towering column and water spinning up off the Louisiana coastline.
While others claimed that there are six waterspouts that showed up in one place, New Orleans-based meteorologist Scot Pilie says on his Facebook post that at least eleven waterspouts were seen towering at once.
"NEW RECORD?! ELEVEN waterspouts potentially captured at once offshore Louisiana. Lake Michigan currently holds the visual record of 9 occurring at once in a single photo," he said. The photo was captured by Daniel Billiot Jr.
