Kind cashier who gave her last $20 to customer gets $18,000 in return

 Pure kindness still exist during this difficult times. The inspiring story of an employee at a Walgreens in Houston has recently earned online attention after she offered her last $20 to pay for a customer's purchase.




Thanked to Ms. Rita for sharing to the world the positive side of pandemic. Rita Burns, a cashier in Walgreens has touched many hearts online after she sacrifice her last $20 to pay Rina Liou's items. The two are strangers to each other. 



"Rina came into the store, and she forgot a wallet," Burns said.  "I just said, 'I'll go ahead and pay.' I found the items were on sale. That was a good day!"


Rita, who was known for her kindness, offer to pay without hesitation using her own debit card. Liou has accepted Rita's generosity and returned quickly to pay her back. But Liou wanted to do more after she experienced the pure act of kindness.


She decided to give a shout out to Burns on Nextdoor, and a fundraising was organized in GoFundMe dedicated to "Miss Rita".



"She knows everyone and always welcomes people by their names!" "She is a gem and she always remembers me, my kids and grandkids." "Miss Rita is always kind and takes times to ask how you're doing...and she cares!" "Ms. Rita is a wonderful lady! My kids love her," a statement read which was organized by a certain Michelle Suh. 


As of this posting the fund has reached over $19,000 and counting with the goal to be raised up to $20,000.
