This most expensive succulent that would cost more than P1 million has gone missing. The case of the rumored stolen succulent called S. BG Regale (Sansevieria rorida) was confirmed by Arid and Aroids Nurseries Facebook page.
The investigation is still on going to locate the rare plant, which is believed to be the only species in the world. This rare plant was produced and nourished by Boyet Ganigan of Arid and Aroids, secretary of the Philippine Horticulture Society.

"There is now an on going investigation to dispell another rumor that its an Inside Job.
"Arid and Aroids Nursery is asking the public to be vigilant in helping us find BG. Regale.
"There have only been 2 plants of BG Regale released from the Nursery, one to a local Collector and one abroad. SO IF there are any other BG Regale's that would find it way into the Market its from the STOLEN PLANT," the Facebook post read.
According to the owner Boyet Ganigan, a plant enthusiast from Iloilo, he took 10 years to produce this hybrid via mutation breeding. The stem taken from Africa was exposed to chemicals and radiation.
The first time the plant was introduced last year, the bid start from P1 million to P10 million, but he opted not to sell as he wanted to keep the only species of succulent in the world.
