A Filipino-Canadian voice actor Eric Bauza from Scarborough is heading to Hollywood to give life to a classic "Looney Tunes" character, Bugs Bunny.
The 41-year-old Bauza who grew up watching the good old days has been given a chance to voice the prankster in the upcoming 2021 movie "Space Jam: A New Legacy," starring NBA star LeBron James, according to CTV News.
For Eric, his role was a "dream come true" since he has always had a love of imitating voices, especially cartoons like Looney Toons.
Bauza, who also voices Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and more said: “I just study the classics”. “My equivalent of the gym is watching one hour of Looney Tunes almost every other day,” he added.
His brother Alan recalled the time he returned home and heard voices coming from his younger brother's room, thinking he had his friend with him. Hwever, it was just Bauza imitating voices from "the Simpson" inside his room.
"I don’t really think about it,” he says. “It kind of just happens naturally," he said.
