Dozens of Miss Thailand contestants plunge into a pond after a hanging bridge collapsed. The terrible moment was caught on film, showing the women in matching outfits with sun hats and face shields waving when the bridge suddenly collapsed, leaving everyone to scream seconds before the splash.
The tiny bridge couldn't hold their weight causing them to send down the murky water below. Others were able to manage with a smile in the pond after the fall but three of them were left injured.
One suffered a cuts and bruises on her forehead while two others got minor scrapes.

The accident happened when the contestants were visiting a cafe. Worapot Chatkanjana, 43, the owner of the restaurant donated 500,000 Baht (£12,500) to cover their medical bills and for the other contestants.
"I’ll also pay for the other contestants to have their dresses cleaned professionally.
"I don’t know why the bridge broke. It is strong, but it just could not handle the weight of the women," embarrassed owner said.

The contest continued with the remaining 27 Miss Thailands hopefuls without three of their rivals.
The Director of Miss Thailand 2020, Dr Adison Suddee, who called the incident 'unexpected' said: "normally the contest is held in Bangkok, but this time we chose Chiang Mai and we were confident that it would be safe and secure."
