Woman shares rare photo of her dad spending the remaining days of his life finalizing the grades of his students before he died

A daughter of the late school teacher shared a touching photo of her dad in a hospital bed with his laptop on his lap, spending the remaining days of his life busy finalizing grades for progress reports.

Sandra Venegas recalled in a now viral Facebook post how her dedicated teacher father has died.

"This is my dad Alejandro Navarro, the day before he passed away, worried about finalizing grades for progress reports. He knew he was going to the ER so he packed his laptop and charger so he could enter them," she said.

According to Navarro, all the doctors coming in to see her dad personally asked him to decide what he wanted in the event that his heart stopped: "CPR and intubation or to go in peace?"

He silently continue to " answer their questions and resume with grades."

"The last time I saw him was Monday and he spent the two hours I was at his house working. I wish I would have closed his laptop and enjoyed spending time with him," Navarro said.

She also told how teachers put so many extra hours during pandemic, worried about completing the deadline.

"Teachers put in so many extra hours, hours that many don't realize. Even during a pandemic, even during a health crisis, teachers worry about completing their duties," Navarro explained.

Before she end her story, she urge everyone to thank their teachers.

" If you are married to one, help them set boundaries, if you are the daughter/son of one, don't let them work once they're home. Be kind to your teachers, she said.

"Teachers let's not normalize working after hours, let's not normalize staying at work late. You are replaceable at work. You are NOT replaceable at home." she added.
