Friendship can sometimes take a romantic turn - and such is the case of Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga.
In response to Diego Loyzaga's revelation on New Year's day about his romantic relationship with Barbie, the Kapamilya actress later admitted that she and Diego are officially a couple. She took to her Instagram account on Sunday, January 3, and shared her "favorite photo" together along with the caption, "totally unexpected to fall for someone I thought I’d be just friends."
The couple are more of a slow-burn, starting out as friendship and gradually heating up to become a lovers. Barbie admitted that she's "really happy to have found both love and friendship" with Diego.
Grateful for Diego, Barbie thanked her boyfriend for coming into her life.
“Thank you for making me happy & feel loved. Thank you for everything that you do to make me feel the love I deserve. So thankful for you, thank God for you,” she said.
Their rumored blossoming relationship was first sparked in November, when Diego left a comment on Barbie's bikini photo on Instagram.
During her 'Magandang Buhay' guesting last November, Imperial revealed that Diego was courting her and admitted they are on the same circle of friends.
