The Philippines' 2nd missile-capable frigate BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151) is undergoing final technical inspections in South Korea. The Philippine Navy's newest warship is expected to arrive in the country in February.
It is the second brand-new warship acquired by the Philippines after BRP Jose Rizal, which was made by South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries.
If everything pass and met all technical and build specifications, it would sail home to the Philippines as early as February 5 and expected to arrive in Subic on February 10, according to Inquirer report.
The report added that HHI has included additional equipment and sustainment items, such as training to its crew and ship design improvements on top of their contractual obligations.
The future BRP Antonio Luna and the BRP Jose Rizal are a government deal with HHI in October 2016 worth P16 billion.
