Makati City prosecutor's office ordered on Wednesday the release of three suspects being detained linked to Christine Dacera's death who was found dead in a bathtub of a hotel room on New Year's Day in Makati.
It was noted that more evidence is needed to determine the cause of death of Dacera. John Pascual Dela Serna II, Rommel Galido and John Paul Halili leave their statement to the media upon leaving the Makati City police department.
" Wala kaming kasalanan," Halili sain in tears.
"Si Christine parang naging kapatid ko na siya. Sobrang mahal na mahal ko si Christine," said Galido.
The case is set for preliminary investigation on Jan. 13, 2020.
The police earlier filed rape and homicide charges against the arrested suspects. Nine others who were with Dacera the night before she was found lifeless were identified but still at large.
