AstraZeneca vaccine shipment for Filipinos will be delayed for a week, Health Sec. Francisco Duque III said Sunday as the country welcomed the arrival of China's Sinovac, causing a further delay in the mass vaccination program pf the government.
It was earlier announced by Malacañang the arrival of AstraZeneca vaccines on Monday, March 1, with 525,600 doses from the Covax facility,
"Hindi matutuloy dahil ang sabi ng WHO nagkakaproblema sila sa supply. Maantala daw ng mga isang linggo," Duque said in an interview with PTV.
Yesterday, Feb. 28, the Philippines has received a donation of 600,000 Sinovac vaccine doses from China.
