On March 13, Saturday, the Philippines has recorded 5,000 additional cases bringing a total to 616,611 confirmed cases and 56,679 are active.
The Department of Health also reported 72 new deaths, bringing the death to 12,766 over all. Meanwhile recoveries are up by 281, raising the total to 547,166.
This could be third highest number of new cases recorded in over 6-months after Agust 26, 2020 with 5,277 and August 10 with 6,958 day cases.
Recently, the country has detected its first case of the highly contagious coronavirus variant first detected in Brazil.
