Miss Grand International Philippines Samantha Bernardo looks majestic as she showcase the gold and green gown by Louis Pangilinan creation on Thursday night. Dubbed as "LIPAD", the gown was inspired from a small bird with broad wings, green body color and yellow throat called yellow-throated leafbird.
The bird is domestically common in Palawan where Bernardo grew up. The emerald green-colored gown is hand-embroidered with bead and sequins. Accentuated with gold crystals as a representation of the yellow throat of the bird and feathers from fibers extracted by hand and worked into fine threads woven together in the lower part of the gown.

Bernardo was one of the 63 contestants who took part in the live-broadcast prelims. The coronation night will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on March 27.
