Missing Indonesian submarine found broken into three parts in Bali seabed

 The search for the missing Indonesian submarine KRI Naggala 402 is over as it was found broken into three parts in seabed of Bali waters.





"There were parts of KRI Nanggala 402—it was broken into three pieces," said Navy Chief of Staff Yudo Margono.







Rescuers found new debris, including a life vest on Sunday, believed to be a belonging from aboard the missing submarine which have lost contact on Wednesday. The submarine is said to conduct a live torpedo drill.




“Based on the evidence, it can be stated that the KRI Nanggala has sunk and all of its crew have died,” military chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto told reporters. 





“With deep sorrow... I declare that all 53 personnel on board have died. They were the best soldiers... and may the God Almighty reward their good deeds and dedication.” 




Navy chief of staff Yudo Margono said the crew were not to be blamed for the accident. 




“The KRI Nanggala is divided into three parts, the hull of the ship, the stern of the ship, and the main parts are all separated, with the main part found cracked,” he said.
