Two children aged 10 test positive for Delta variant

 According to the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas, two of the four newly reported cases of COVID-19 caused by Delta variant are children aged 10 years old.





Two others are adults aged 27 and 60 years old. The four new cases of COVID-10 caused by the Delta variant are all from Lapu-Lapu City.





According to Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas chief pathologist, the four new cases caused by Delta variant are in addition to the 32 reported cases by the same variant. She said that all the samples were collected from the community, which means these individuals don't have the history of travel abroad.





Contract tracing and isolation to persons with positive RT-PCR test results is currently being done.
