Curfew violator who jumped out of police mobile in Cabanatuan City died

Authorities are investigating the death of a 17-year-old boy who allegedly jumped off a police mobile after their arrest for alleged violation of curfew.

Reports said, the three violators jumped from the police vehicle along M. De Leon Ave., San Juan Accfa a few meters away from the police station.

Footage from a security camera showed that the victim, his 18-year-old brother and their niece were freely boarded the police mobile. But the initial police report said the three were no longer inside the vehicle when it reached the police station. Citing, the three jumped out the vehicle, causing them to get injured.

The Police officers found the three lying on the street, prompting them to take them to the nearest hospital.

The father of the two, Laut Saripada said, the three earlier attended the debut of a classmate in the nearby village of DS Garcia but were invited by friends to visit the wake of another classmate's mother causing their late return.

Citing the account of his elder son, Saripada said the policemen offered to drop them off somewhere in their village.

"Ngayon pag tapat nila dito sa babaan, pumara raw sila. ‘Kuya kuya dito na lang po kami,’ e parang walang narinig daw yung mga pulis."

When they again pleaded, one of the policemen allegedly said:"Magsitigil kayo kung hindi papatayin ko kayo."

Lt. Col. Julius Caesar Manucdoc, city police chief said the mobile patrol has a glass partition between the driver's compartment and the passengers' compartment, which could be the reason the policemen could not hear the three.

The unnamed policemen were now placed under restricted police custody as the investigation still on going.
