After 13-years, celebrity mom Jennylyn Mercado is carrying her first child with Dennis Trillo.
Mercado took to social media to share an ultrasound image of her sweet strong baby with her 13-million followers on Facebook. She also used her YouTube channel to share her pregnancy journey as they first both had a surrogacy plan when they found out she was pregnant.
The two were hoping for a baby girl, but what comes out is a blessing.
In an interview with Mega magazine, the couple shared that they went to the US not only to get vaccinated, but also to harvest an embryo and find a surrogate.
With the help of a fertility doctor, they were able to harvest five eggs, but only one was excellent condition.
Dennis said they already had the embryo and all they had to do was find a surrogate woman to carry it.
However, the plan was changed when Mercado started to feel different. It as during her lock-in taping when she started to feel bad about almost everything.
“Nu’ng pagpasok ko sa hotel, ayoko ’yung hotel, nagdala ako ng vacuum, naglinis ako nang buo, ta’s umiiyak ako kasi, ‘bakit ang dumi,’” ’yung gan’on—’yung grabe ‘yung emotions ko! Hindi ko alam kung bakit,” she said.
After a few weeks of taping, she started getting acid reflux and intense headache. She also kept vomiting, until they found out she was pregnant.
