Elon Musk's 'Starlink' in talks with Philippine telcos for faster internet connectivity

 While Filipinos are just hoping for telcos to act for faster internet connectivity, new update reveal that Elon Musk's SpaceX might bring Starlink Internet in the country by 2022. And partners for this project are said to be in done deal.





Transpacific Broadband Group International Inc. disclosed that its board approved discussion with a number of satellite operators that include SpaceX. The agreement was signed with operator ABS Global LTD. for a low-earth orbit satellite station in Pampanga province, north of the capital, according to statement.




Musk's SpaceX have deployed more than 1,700 satellites in low-earth orbit, with its plan to eventually top 30,000 if it receives the necessary regulatory approvals and market demand warrants.



Meanwhile, Dennis Anthony Uy's fiber-optic broadband operator Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is reported in separate talks with SpaceX to complement its nationwide network.
