BBM-SARA UNITEAM SEND AID TO ODETTE HIT AREAS IN VISAYAS AND MINDANAO

 Aid are on their way to Southern Leyte, Butuan City, Bohol, Cebu, Siargao, Capiz, Negros Occidental, and Masbate as Relief Operations Centers of BBM-Sara Uniteam are working round the clock to expedite dispatch of food items and other basic necessities to areas badly-hit by typhoon Odette, (Rai).




Presidential aspirants in the 2022 elections have set aside politics and mobilized efforts to provide assistance to those affected areas. Typhoon Odette slammed Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, Dec. 16.







Search and rescue operations still underway in the most hard-hit areas in several provinces on Friday after the storm wreaked havoc across the archipelago.




Typhoon Odette, known internationally as Rai, is the 15th typhoon to hit the Philippines this year, weakened slightly from a category 5 to a category 3 storm after making landfall Thursday on Siargao island.




Meanwhile, several people were reported missing after the onslaught of the super typhoon in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.

Several areas in Kabankalan City are still submerged in flood waters as of Friday, December 17.



Local reports says, an estimated 40 people were believed missing, adding that the number could be possibly increase in the coming days, as clearing operations is ongoing. At least seven bodies were already retrieved from various barangays, as of December 18.
