While there are some celebrities began dating amid the pandemic, others might appear to have the perfect love story, still there some were not lucky enough to sustain their faith that lead into breakup.
This year has proven that love in showbiz doesn't last forever for some, as breakups were completely unexpected.
We are randomly listing down some of the celebrity splits of 2021 that rock the social media world:
1. Pau Fajardo seeks to move on after breakup with PBA star Scottie Thompson. A now married Thompson to social media personality Jinky Serrano was first engaged to Pau Fajardo, his girlfriend of eight years. However, many got shocked when the news spread in social media hinting Thompson has tied the knot with Serrano.
Fajardo and Thompson was reportedly broke up in April and he married Serrano in early June.
2. Jelai Andres and Jon Gutierrez was one of the most followed celebrity couples in the country. Known to many as Team Jolai, their marriage has come to an end after an allegations of cheating on Jon's part surfaced. The two tied the knot in 2018.
3. Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes have ended their relationship after six years. LJ described her breakup with Paolo as very painful and difficult. They have a daughter named Summer Ayana.
"If I don't have a strong faith in God, I don't know what will I do," she said. Now, LJ and her kids have flown to New York City to stay with her family.
4. Kylie Padilla is asking for respect from the public amid her breakup with Aljur Abrenica.
"Every family goes through a lot of challenges and sometime we think that it is only the couple that goes through the ordeal. We forget the kids and people that are involved," the actress said.
The two are working on a co-parenting set-up for their two sons, Alas and Axl.
5. Devon Seron's cryptic statement on Instagram has spurred speculations surrounding her relationship with Kiko Estrada. After loads of negative comments thrown to Estrada, he admitted in an interview that he and Seron have split up.
Devon has since deleted all their photos together on Instagram, while Kiko has totally emptied his IG.
6. Including in the batch of broken hearted this year are celebrity gamer Alodia Gosiengfiao and YouTube content creator Wil Dasovich. "The decision was because we're not compatible, I guess," said Alodia.
"To be honest, 'di naman perfect relationship namin. It just looks like it. Behind the scenes, it's different, I guess," she added.
7. Kate Jagdon confirms breakup with long-time girlfriend Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez. Their split happened two months after Beatrice was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021.
"These past few weeks have been the most difficult time of my personal life. It was a conscious decision to keep quiet, after all this is a personal matter and I chose my privacy above else."
