TYPHOON ODETTE STORM SIGNAL NO. 2 RAISES IN SOME AREAS IN MINDANAO

 According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), tropical cyclone "Odette" has intensified into typhoon as it enters the Philippine area of responsibility.





Odette is expected to further gain strength up to 155 kms. per hour prior to making landfall in CARAGA or Eastern Visayas on Thursday afternoon.





Signal No. 2 is now raise to eastern portion of Surigao del Norte, including Claver, Siargao, Bucas Grande Islands, and Surigao del Sur.

According to the latest issued weather bulletin by Pagasa at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the Odette was last spotted 590 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur moving westward at 20kph.



Odette is also packed with maximum sustained winds of 120kph near the center with strong winds or high extending outwards up to 330 km from the center.
