Kapuso TV host Willie Revillame pledges PHP9 million for the people of Siargao, one of the hardest-hit areas by super typhoon Odette.
The TV host joined President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bong Go during relief efforts for families severely affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette on Wednesday.
Odette claimed at least 19 lives when it made first landfall on Wednesday, December 16, with maximum sustained winds of 195 kms per hour and gusts of up to 270 kph.
The storm ripped down homes, tress, power and communication lines.
People in the island are expected to celebrate Christmas without homes, electricity, limited food and water supply.
