COUPLE TIE THE KNOT ON PALINDROME DAY AT 2:00 AM IN BAGUIO CITY

A couple in Baguio City has decided to declare their love for one another during a once-in-a-lifetime date as they chose to tie the knot on a palindrome day 22.2.22 or 'Twosday'.

Palindrome Day happened only when a date occurred with the same digit and could be read the same way backward and forward.

The internet is abuzz with a social media post from Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong's Facebook page on Tuesday when he administered a wedding at 2 A.M.

The mayor described the event as "lucky one in a million coincidence."

"Mayor Benjie appealed to the couple for consent to the 2AM wedding as he had to catch a morning flight to an STP inspection organized by DOT-Tieza and ADB that Baguio is eyeing for technical guidance in rehabilitating its decades’ old facility," the post read.

"Pronounced man and wife, till death do them part, Nirel and Rex will always remember the iconic 2 am, on the 2nd month of 2022 as a reminder of two hearts being one till time’s fateful end," it added.

Interestingly, today's date is not only a palindrome but also an ambigram. It means that if you arrange the digits of today's date, in vertical order, it would read the same upside down as well.
