Chad Gabrielle L. Tanutan from Victorias City, Negros Occidental was hailed as grand winner in the recently concluded digital sneaker design contest.
Dubbed as the HypeX MetaSneaker Brawl, Tanutan who representing the Philippines bested 100 plus entries from more than 20 countries around the world.
Chad, who graduated from La Consolacion College in Bacolod submitted his entry entitled "The Bay," was inspired by the Golden State Warriors and the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. It was also inspired by the nightlife in the bay area with a twist of a Modern Warrior in the Metaverse.
"We have achieved our goal of gathering brilliant independent footwear designers from around the world and empowering them by giving them exposure and democratizing access to NFTs and the metaverse," HypeX said.
The winner of the HypeX MetaSneaker Brawl was announced in the NBA All-Star game halftime.
