Senator Franklin Drilon on Friday has shared some tips for newbie senators joining the 19th Congress.
According to the veteran senator on his pieces of advised for the neophyte senators, study and observe first the traditions in the Senate.
"Sa akin po dapat mag aral sila dahil po yung Senado ay parang aquarium, 24 lang sila at ang buong bansa ang nakatingin lalo na ngayong may social media..." Drilon said to media when asked for his advice to newbie senators.
Meanwhile, on his interview with DZBB, the senator said: "Inihalal sila ng taumbayan para gumawa ng batas, hindi kaagad sumalpak sa leadership quarrel."
Drilon has served in government for over 30 years since the administration of former president Corazon Aquino in 1995.
Drilon also praised the leadership of Senate President Vicente Sotto III for treating all senators equally.
"His leadership has been good. he treats everyone fairly. He knows that he is the President of the Senate and not just of the majority, and he listens to everyone," said Drilon.
