The legendary billiards champion Efren "Bata" Reyes was eliminated in a match against 15 years old AJ Manas during the Masskara billiards tournament in Bacolod City.
Manas, a member of the Philippine team faced Reyes in the semifinals of 1st Mayor Albee Benites Masskara Billiards Tournament.
In an interview with GMA "24 Oras", Manas said that he was overwhelmed by the Magician's fans.
Reyes praised Manas for his excellent performance during their match.
"Panalo 'yung pocketing niya. 'Yung panghulog ng bata, ang galing. Mayroon na rin siyang mga position," he said.
Reyes, admitted that he is lossing his tricks now, "ang tira ko naman ngayon, pawala na eh."
"'Yung mga tinitira niyang pahulog, ako hindi ko na kaya 'yun eh. Magaling kahit malayo," said Reyes.
Meanwhile, former Guinness world champion Jundel Mazon from Cavite took home the grand prize amounting P350,000, after defeating Johann Chua of Bacolod.
The tournament was part of the celebration of the 43rd Masskara Festival with 128 players that participate including world champions Efren 'Bata' Reyes and Francisco 'Django' Bustamante.
