Danny Javier has passed away, October 31, a member of the iconic OPM group APO Hiking Society. He was 75.
The news was confirmed by his daughter Justine Javier Long via social media.
"It is with great sadness that my siblings and I wish to announce the passing of our father, Daniel 'Danny' Morales Javier on October 31, 2022 at the age of 75 from complications due to his prolonged illness," wrote Justine.
"In life, as in his death, our Pop never stopped fighting for what he loved, what he believed in and what he was passionate about. He left this world with his passion and his strength of will intact and we know he would not have it any other way," she added.
APO Hiking Society was a Filipino musical group and one of the pillars of the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in 70s until they disbanded in 2010. They are composed by Danny Javier, Jim Paredes, and Boboy Garrovillo.
