Paolo Contis and Yen Santos are in a relationship now, but the actor denied that actress was the cause of his separation with LJ.
On his second interview in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda", the actor comedian finally confirmed his relationship to his "A Faraway Land" leading lady.
Boy asked: "Si Yen Santos ba ang girlfriend mo na?"
At first, Paolo replied in jest "As a friend?"
Boy repeat the question with affirmation, "Umayos ka."
"Yes," he said. "Ang samin kasi, kung baga, what you see is what you get na naman e, 'di ba? Hindi na namin pwedeng ilipilit 'yung tao to be happy for us, hindi na namin pwedeng ipilit 'yung mga tao na paniwalaan 'yung gusto nilang paniwalaan. Sana lang isipin nila na kung ano lang 'yung nakikita nilang naka-post, 'yung lang ang ang truth na alam nila."
He also clarified that Yen wasn't the cause of his separation with LJ during the "Baguio as a friend" photo went viral. Added that it took place when LJ and his child left for New York.
"Matagal na kaming hindi okay ni LJ pero we were together officially. Napapadalas 'yung away. I think it was a combination of stress sa pandemic and everything," he said.
Paolo and Yen starred in the 2021 movie where it was shot in Faroe Islands. In the same year, LJ admitted in her guesting in Boy's online show in August 2021 that they have broken up.
The two shared with their daughter, Summer. Paolo, meanwhile, is also a father to Xonia and Xalene, his daughters with ex-wife, Lian Paz.
