A 59-year-old woman bound for Manila was arrested at the Davao International Airport on Sunday due to a bomb joke.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the passenger identified as Annabelle Macose boarded Cebu Pacific Flight 5J97 was arrested by the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEU).
She is a resident of Pangasinan, reportedly told the joke to one of the airline's flight crew.
The Cebu Pacific Air Customer service staff complained about her bomb joke.
The suspect was investigated and turned over to the Sasa Police Station for custodial proceedings.
CAAP said the remaining 220 passengers were deplaned while the aircraft was repositioned and all baggage was re-screened.
The flight which was supposed to depart Davao to Manila at 6:45 P.M. left the airport at 9:11 P.M. on Monday.
