The Japan Home Wholesale Centre branch in Panay Avenue will be accepting 'onions' as payment on selected items on February 4 (Saturday).
The Japanese discount store announced in a Facebook post saying one onion is equivalent to one item from their shop. Each customer is limited to only three purchase.
The store offers discounted merchandise mix, exclusive products from Japan.
The collected onions will be used in their community pantry activity.
Meanwhile, cash will still be accepted.
The Japan Home Centre's Panay Avenue branch is located at 84 Panay Avenue, Quezon City, near Victoria Tower.
