Police has been identified the suspect behind the death of 24-year-old computer science student of DLSU in Dasmariñas Cavite.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin revealed the suspect as Angelito Erlano.
According to a report, police has discovered some of the victim's belongings during a search warrant was served to Erlano.
CCTV footage helped the authorities to determine the suspect and locate his house at Barangay San Nicholas 2.
A black backpack owned by Leanne Daguinsin was found in the house. A black shirt with a white stripe and a blue t-shirt with trademark eagle being used by the suspect was also found.
Erlano had once arrested for robbery, according to the PNP.
Earlier this week several government officials offered a reward at P1.1-million for anyone who can give information about the whereabouts of the suspect.
Daguinsin's body was found by the care taker of the dormitory after her classmates went to check her after she had not been attending classes for days.
