TWO FIL-AMS KILLED IN HELICOPTERS CRASH ACCIDENT DURING MILITARY TRAINING

 A total of nine, including two Filipino-American soldiers were among the casualties in a helicopter crashed accident in Kentucky, USA.




The US Army service members were killed when two Black Hawk helicopters crashed during a training mission in Trigg County, near Fort Campbell on March 29.




US officials confirmed that Cpl. Emilie Marie Eve Bolanos, 23, of Texas and Sgt. Isaac John Gayo, 27, of Los Angeles were killed during a military training.

 

 

Both were born in the Philippines and enlisted in the US military in 2019.


The aircraft were flying in formation with pilots using night vision goggles during a routine training exercise.



Also killed in the crash were Warrant Officer 1 Jeffrey Barnes, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Zachary Esparza, Staff Sgt. Joshua C. Gore, Warrant Officer 1 Aaron Healy, Staff Sgt. Taylor Mitchell, Chief Warant Officer 2 Rusten Smith and Sgt. David Solinas Jr.



The incident involving the variants of Black Hawk designed for medical evacuation was the deadliest in more than eight years.
