No More Passport Stamp for Filipinos Using E-Gates in Airports

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) in the Philippines announced that starting April 2024, Filipino passengers who use the airport e-gates will no longer receive the arrival stickers on their passports. This change aims to improve efficiency in immigration services.

The BI made the announcement through an advisory, stating that the discontinuation of arrival sticker is "consistent with the Bureau's mandate to deliver effective and efficient immigration service."

While stickers will no longer be issued automatically, Filipino passengers using e-gates will still have options for arrival confirmation. They can receive an email confirmation through the eTravel system or request a traditional arrival stamp on their passport from an immigration officer at the e-gate.

The BI advises passengers to register with the eTravel system at least 72-hours before their trip. This online registration helps expedite the immigration process upon arrival in the Philippines. BY registering early and using the e-gates, Filipino travelers can expect a smoother and faster airport immigration experience.
